5 Best English and Irish Pubs in Rome

Best Rome Pubs

Whatever cities you travel around the world there is one thing for certain, which is that there will be an English or Irish bar somewhere within that city, and sometimes more than one. Pubs are such a large part of our culture here that when people decide to move away opening a pub seems like an obvious option. Below are some of the best English and Irish pubs that can be found in Rome.

The Albert, Via Del Traforo (Via del Traforo, Rome)

Owned by a British couple, this pub is popular with ex pats in the area as well as for locals who like to experience Irish pub in Romethe true British pub culture. The food is good, the staff are friendly and the beer is recognisable.

Druids Irish Pub (Via di San Martino ai Monti, Rome)

This is the best Irish pub in Rome for live music and also shows all of the major sports matches from back home. Good location i.e quite central in Rome and an excellent pub in Rome for locals and tourists alike.

The Abbey Theatre (Via del Governo Vecchio, Rome)

You could literally be forgiven for thinking that you are in Ireland when visiting this pub close to the Piaza Navona, which is one of the busiest areas of Rome. Here you can experience the best in Irish and Italian cuisine.

Finnegan’s Irish Pub (Via San Gallo)

This Irish owned bar shows all of the sporting matches from back home, which you can enjoy whilst partaking in a familiar beer you might find in the UK or a local Italian beverage.

Gregory’s, Centro Storico (Via Gregoriana, Rome)

The best feature if this pub is that it is traditionally British on the ground floor and a jazz club on the second. Gregory's is a very relaxing place to hang out and one of my personal favourites when it comes to the best ppubs in Rome, Italy.
